In order to make our office a safe space for patients and the members of our team, we have stayed current with ADA and CDC guidelines, and have looked for opportunities to increase the safety of our practice. We have always taken sterilization and safety seriously, as these measures are important when providing periodontal services. In light of the threat posed by the coronavirus, we have added new technology while also making changes to how we interact with patients.
Before patients show up at our office for treatment, we take care to learn if they may pose a risk for spreading infection by communicating with them and asking important questions. Additional stations with sanitizer have been set up, and patients are asked to have masks on when they arrive at our facility. Appointments have actually been spaced out to minimize patient interactions, and our waiting area has had items people might handle removed. To further make our indoor settings safe, we have added new filtration technology to remove airborne particulates.
Whether you need to have your gums evaluated for possible periodontal disease or require ongoing treatments to fight an active infection, our office is ready to help! In addition to providing preventive periodontal services, we are prepared to perform more advanced procedures, including procedures that rely on laser technology to fight bacteria and more comfortably manipulate your periodontal tissues.
At our Encinitas/San Diego, CA periodontal practice, we have continued to make our office safe for our staff and patients. If you need to schedule an appointment, if you have questions about a particular service, or if you want to know more about what we are doing to make our spaces safe, please call Dr. Kania’s periodontal practice at (760) 642-0711.
